HAIR AND FEATHERS

Start date: 04/03/2017

End date: 09/07/2017

Location: Musée de Flandre, Cassel, France

Through the creations of Jan Fabre, Wim Delvoye, Berlinde de Bruyckere, Koen Vanmechelen …, this second part on the Odyssey of Animals will question the place of the animal in contemporary art. Is it always a source of inspiration for the artist? Is it the primary subject of the work or is it used for the symbolism it embodies?

The exhibition focusses on the connections between ancient art and contemporary creation. Through the multiple representations, the artists certainly invites us to investigate a world full of imagination and poetry.
