Thursday, September 29, 2016: NEW PERFORMANCE

The exhibition in MAC Lyon is accompanied by a new performance of the artist, created especially for Lyon at the Velodrome Tête d’Or park: “An attempt to not beat the world record of Eddy Merckx in 1972 (or how to remain a dwarf in the land of giants).” This performance will be commented and filmed live in the presence of Eddy Merckx.

Jan Fabre pays tribute to the Belgian cyclist. The artist attempts not to beat the world record time established in Mexico in 1972. Praising the talent of the one we nicknamed ” the Cannibal “because of his insatiable hunger for victories, Jan Fabre lets himself get caught and swallowed by the beauty of failure.

Jan Fabre fights the record of Eddy Merckx time established in Mexico in 1972? Come encourage!
